Project Space at ‘Art in the Age of Now’ Exhibition

Art Wars was invited to host a project space as part of a bigger exhibition ‘Art in the Age of Now’ held at the Fulham Town Hall – a Grade II listed building steeped in history and closed for nearly a decade.
Artists taking part included: UnSkilled Worker, Ben Eine, Philip Colbert, Bran Symondson, Joe Rush and Orlanda Broom.
Curated by Ben Moore and in partnership with Lamington Group and property developers Ziser London, Art in the Age of Now featured a number of works by over 150 local and national artists that were created during lockdown, as well as talks, live music and performances, welcoming over 25,000 visitors from across the country.
ART WARS 9
Old Brompton Gallery, Kensington, London

Art Wars 9 opened at London’s Old Brompton Gallery, Kensington on Thursday 12th December with a Private View (6 – 9pm) followed up with another celebratory event a week later to coincide with the cinema release of Star Wars 9 on 19th December. The Art Wars 9 exhibition brought new and existing star wars inspired art.
Artists taking part included: Mr Brainwash, Alison Jackson, Hayden Kays, UnSkilled Worker, Nettie Wakefield, Ben Eine, Philip Colbert, Bran Symondson, Joe Rush, Stuart Semple and Schoony.
New works in the exhibition include a ‘dark side’ depiction of the Royal Family by Trust.ICON, a stormtrooper helmet as a cheeseburger by Philip Colbert and a nude black female stormtrooper by Ben Moore.

ART WARS MIAMI & LOS ANGELES
MIAMI: Red Dot Art Fair

Eight of the helmets were unveiled at the Red Dot Art Fair as part of Miami Art Week 6 – 10 December.
The exhibition then moved to Los Angeles to add some of LA’s finest artists to the mix including Risk, Retna, Robert Vargas and Emerson Barrett.
The show coincided with the opening of Star Wars ‘The Last Jedi’. The entire collection went on show at The Pacific Design Centre, Melrose Avenue, West Hollywood Los Angeles.
ART WARS ROGUE ONE EDITION

To coincide with the launch of the Star Wars film Rogue 1 – eight emerging and established artists, including Sir Anish Kapoor, have each embellished a Star Wars stormtrooper helmet with a unique design.
Artists taking part included: Sir Anish Kapoor C.B.E., D*Face, Dan Baldwin, Carne Griffiths, Agnetha Sjogren, Polina Vasenkova, Schoony and Miranda Donovan.

Art Wars welcomed a selection of new artists, including RYCA, Joe Rush, Elmo Hood, Schoony, Nancy Fouts and Craig Davison who worked on stormtrooper helmets which were unveiled at the 2014 Moniker Art Fair. Curated by Ben Moore these artists were specially invited to fulfil the ‘urban vibe’ that is epitomised in the Moniker Art Fair.

Art Wars was unveiled at the Saatchi Gallery during Frieze week in October 2013 featuring 20 artists including Damien Hirst, Jake and Dinos Chapman, David Bailey, Alison Jackson, Joana Vasocncelos, D*Face, Antony Micallef, Yinka Shonibare and Mr Brainwash.
Proceeds from the exhibition went to the Missing Tom Fund, set up by Moore to support the ongoing search for his brother Thomas Moore who has been missing since 2003. The sell out exhibition was a massive success attracting media attention worldwide and pushing forward the cause and spreading awareness of Missing Tom.
